SkiMo Stats is free to read and we want it used. These terms explain what you can do with what you find here, and what needs to be agreed with us first.
The results database behind this site is not a copy of someone else's list. Building it means finding results across organisers, federations and timing providers, checking them, resolving the same athlete appearing under different spellings across countries and decades, connecting results to races and seasons, and correcting them when they are wrong. That work is continuous and it is ours.
On that basis we assert the sui generis database right under Directive 96/9/EC, which protects a database where there has been substantial investment in obtaining, verifying or presenting its contents. The right covers the database as a collection. It does not make any individual fact private — a race result belongs to the sport.
Extracting or re-using a substantial part of the database is not permitted without a licence. That includes repeatedly taking small parts where doing so adds up to a substantial part — systematically working through our race pages, athlete profiles or rankings and keeping the results.
The same applies to using our data to train or populate another product, and to republishing our rankings or index as if they were your own.
If you want more than a handful of results, ask us — a licence is usually straightforward and often free for non-commercial work. We already provide an API on request, which is cleaner and more reliable than scraping our pages.

We work hard to be correct and we publish corrections when we're not. Results are provided as they were recorded by organisers and timing providers, and official results from the organiser always take precedence over ours. If you spot an error, tell us — that helps everyone.
If you hold an account, keep your login to yourself and don't use the community features to harass anyone or post things you don't have the right to post. We can suspend an account that's causing harm. How we handle your personal data is covered separately in our privacy policy.
These terms are governed by Slovak law and the law of the European Union, including Directive 96/9/EC as implemented in Slovakia.
If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top.
